In Wevorce’s recent survey, one person out of every 12 responses was considering separating from or divorcing their spouse. When breaking down that fact into gender, 72 percent were women, meaning that 1 in 8 were considering separation or divorce, while men were 1 in 25. It seems a very different story is emerging in the battle of the sexes when it comes to who’s divorcing whom these days.

Out of the 558 who responded to our online survey, it was nearly equal between men and women respondents: 51 percent men, 49 percent women. But equality gets skewed from that point forward. Why are women considering divorce more than men? It’s a question many are asking, while much discussion is going on about the phenomenon known as Walk-Away Wives.
