In a nutshell:Can I stop my STBX's girlfriend from attending a school meeting about my son? The long version: My son (10) has always had problems in school. We believe that he has a learning disability. Last year there was a meeting set up with the school and an outside agency which was going to observe our son and report their findings.
Since my STBX's live-in girlfriend had worked as a teacher in the past, I was okay with her attending the meeting. At the meeting, I felt that the people we were meeting with were addressing her more than my STBX or myself. I was very unhappy with the meeting. Last night I received a copy of a letter via facebook messager from my STBX that he wants to send to the school, requesting another meeting (it was CLEARLY written by her).
In it, he asks that his girlfriend and my boyfriend be invited to attend. At first I said it was fine, but then said that I didn't think it was necessary for his girlfriend or my boyfriend to attend, that there were too many people at the last meeting. My question is, if he sends the letter in anyway, without the changes that I requested, can I stop her from attending the meeting? If it matters, it is a private school.
