It’s been pondered over since the beginning of time. Even then, a man’s grunt probably meant something totally different from a woman’s grunt. Man- and woman-kind has argued verbally about it for 100,000 years or so. The first picture drawings probably showed a man and woman communicating, confusion and misunderstanding clearly reflected on their faces. There has been much written about the great divide in the past 5,000 years, with few, if any, definitive answers on the subject.

We speak the same language but our words carry different meanings. How our brains work is unique — our wiring dissimilar, producing distinctive results. Yet, we persist in trying to make the opposite sex understand us.

One of the best videos made on this point was created by Jason Headley, “It’s Not About The Nail.” It has been viewed over 7.5 million times on YouTube and is a delightfully humorous take on the topic of communication between the sexes.

Mr. Headley hit the nail on the head with this one! (pun intended)
